Irene Martín Cortés is Lecturer in Political Science at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at UAM and Vice-rector for Internationalization. She obtained her PhD at UAM and the CEACS – Juan March Institute. At UAM, she coordinates the Research Seminar of the MA in Democracy and Government. Since 2021, she is IP of the research project POLMEMO “Polarization around historical memory in Spain. Distribution and factors that contribute to its intensification”. Her research interests deal with attitudes towards the conflicts of the past and their impact on electoral behaviour, young people and politics, and political attitudes and political participation in Greece and in Spain.
